Your persistence and commitment are certainly to be admired. It is very seldom that one comes across people with such great dedication and determination to see a project to completion.

The task that you have set for me turns out to be not so very trivial. I have been thinking about it, looking at myself in front of a mirror, an imaginary mirror that is, and I have the same experience I had while taking Chiplunkar's finals - I draw a blank. The Institute was a great place for dreamers like myself, and that is the root of the problem: I can't put together a coherent story of my self.

Well, twenty years have gone by, and I still have the same outlook towards life. I guess if I were to go back now to IISc to study for BE ECE, I would do a few things different, like study harder and not skip too many classes. But I had a great time and met alot of interesting people. I wonder what it's like now to study at the Institute with all that high-tech electricity in the air. I think we were fortunate to have been there at a time when engineering was taught like the classical sciences (or perhaps, liberal arts maybe). I've kind of settled down now. I have a job at Lockheed Martin and it keeps me going, though sometimes I do wish I could go back to IISC and relax as a professor at the ECE department.
