Ram,
Here is a brief about myself since I left IISc in 1977.
After completing the course, I worked for a Non-Ferrous Foundry
in Madras. I then joined National Productivity Council (NPC)
for my Industrial Engineering diploma where I met P.R. Subramanian
(EE-1977) & P.K. Narayan (EE- 1976). After working with NPC
for five years in Industrial Engineering & EDP, I joined ICIM
in New Delhi. This was the place where I got branded as MRP
systems specialist and eversince I have been working mainly
in this area.
I migrated to Austalia in 1988 and had been working for 2
other companies before moving to the current job. At present,
I work for QAD Australia as a Senior Consultant. QAD Australia
is affiliated to an American comapny called QAD.Inc based at
Carpinteria (California). The company markets and supports
an ERP based product called MFG/PRO.
In Australia, I am now in touch with Shankar (EE), Gopal(EE-1978),
Narayanan(Met -1978), Krishnamoorthy(Aero -1977), V. Sundar
(my classmate) and Bhaskar (Aero -1977).
My wife Akila works for the State Government Department and
I have a son (11 Years) and a daughter (2 Years).
During my visit to India in 1990, I met V. S. Shankaranarayan
(ECE) at Bangalore. He was working for BHEL (earlier REMCO).
Since then, I have lost touch with him.
