Thursday, Nov 7, 2002, 4pm - Outsourcing

Welcome back to the CTO Council. Our next meeting is on Outsourcing, and will continue the style of detailed discussions that educate us on current strategies and issues.

To gain a good perspective, we have organized this meeting with three different discussions. One, the supplier or vendor perspective. Two, the client or customer perspective. Three, a contractual and leagal perspective. To gain these perspectives, and also get a global perspective of outsourcing models, capabilities, resources, and trends are, we have requested INFOSYS, one of the premier companies in this space to take us through the landscape of outsourcing. Next, we have asked a customer to share with us their experiences. And from a risk mitigation and contractual perspective asked Holland & Knight to give us a short tutorial on the issues that are important.

We expect this meeting, (like the earlier one... read the comments), to be a high value, intense, and enlightening experience. We are thinking that this topic is so critical, that we will probably hold more than meeting on the subject. The next ones could get into depth on industry specific topics, and BTO. But, lets start with the basics, so we build up our skills in the area.

A sub-selections of the topics to be covered:

  • The landscape of Software Outsourcing
