Call for ISSRE Conference Proposal

IEEE International Symposium on Software Reliability Engineering (ISSRE)

Call for Proposals
Symposium Organization

The ISSRE Symposium has been growing steadily and we want to locate future symposia and select leadership that can leverage the growth. The ISSRE Steering committee invites proposals from individuals and groups to chair and organize the 18th and 19th International Symposium on Software Reliability Engineering (ISSRE) in 2007 and 2008.

Proposals should address the following goals set by the ISSRE Steering Committee:
1. Create programs to meet current and future needs for reliable/trusted software and systems in industry and governments.
2. Facilitate the growth of the research program.
3. Plan for a continual increase in ISSRE attendance.

Over the next two years the steering committee would like to locate the conference in US or Europe and in Asia.

PROPOSAL SUBMISSION PROCESS:

  1. Submit a letter of intent indicating your interest by e-mail to ISSRE Steering Committee Chair (Ram Chillarege - firstname at lastname com).  Briefly address the goals listed above, include a location (City/Country) and key personnel.

  2. Present and discuss your proposal in a follow up teleconference with ISSRE Steering Committee. The discussion topics will include industry/government/academic relationships, ability to grow research and student programs, etc.  The presentation template will be distributed to those who submit the letter of intent.
