I just came back from a trip to India and met V.T. Ranganathan at IISc . He was just promoted to full Professor at the EE Department. We spent a good part of the day together and had lunch at the Bhaysham Circle restaurant. He gave me a tour of the lab - he now occupies the very lab that Joseph Vithyathil had. He put me in touch with Prahalad who is a VP at Infosys developing a new business unit for them. Did'nt get a chance to meet him but we connected on the phone. I actually missed B.R.Sahu several times. He was in Raleigh for a month or more - visited Girish in Poughkeepsie, when I was in CA and returned to Bangalore on the day I left. S.S. Ravi just sent me a class photo of the ECE section, which I have scanned and put up - its a 1.3 meg file, so beware.

I was very plesently surprised to receive a email from Lakshmi and just got off the phone talking to him. He is in Austin and works for Tivoli. Over the past few years he has run into several classmates and here is a short list of the people he was able to recollect for me:

• Jogeshwar is in Austin. Said he will get his coordinates for me.
• Prahalad, he met in '88 in Bangalore and was in Jayanagar running a realestate business.
• Gandhi contiuned to work for TBL and was in and out of the US. Met him two years ago in Minneapolis, and beleives has a flat in Delhi.
• Vijay Gupta he has met regularly since he lives close to him in Hyderabad - I am sending him a letter with the class page stuff with at "near... " address, that I am confident the Indian Postal Service can deliver - in the past I have drawn a map on the envelope and it has gotten to places as well.
• Sharma apparently worked for DRDL or DMRL in Hyd.
• V. Narayanan moved to Madras in the 80's. He worked for HAL for a long time and then did an MBA and moved to Mds.

(I am 2 kms from the Olympic site and hope this is how I make my million) I visited Gala/Girish during 1990 at Newyork. It is nice to know that you guys stroll around Laguardia airport which I had seen a few times. Next time I visit US .I will have more of you guys to meet and I sure we will all enjoy it. I did hear about R Jayaraman when I met VT Ranganathan at the Institute. Chandramohan I met in Calcutta, but lost touch. Sridhar(ECE) was with Phillips and met me at NewDelhi before Asian games 1983 and I heard he joined Wipro. No contact after that. 

My wife Nalini is from NewDelhi and I have two wonderful sons Bala and Hari ( 11 and 6). I have been in OZ since 1983 after being at CMC NewDelhi for 6 years. will send you pictures and more later. thanks for starting the web page up. What type of system do you have. Disks cost almost throw away price these days. We will think about what we can do.
